This 1,400,000 RSF, 10-story, Class A office building in the heart of the U.S. Capitol was the headquarters of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation for almost 40 years. When the DOT vacated the building, a complete renovation program began. When completed, the building will offer cutting-edge technology, security standards that exceed ISC Level IV, and an anticipated LEED Gold rating. Tenants will enjoy access to a one-acre private courtyard park and over 1,500 underground parking spaces. The project is being developed by David Nassif Associates, who has owned the building since 1970. Smith Group, Inc. has been retained as the designer-of-record, and James G. Davis Construction Corporation is the general contractor. Renovations began in July 2007 and are due for completion by June 2010.
